Next in the hot chair was Firat Argalioglu, eager to discuss his new role in helping businesses understand the need for better business broadband.  

With the sun setting on another busy day in the ATAMA team, it comes with new optimism to sit with young Firat, the newly appointed Technical Business Development Manager for the company.   

“My new role at ATAMA has allowed me to discover new and innovating technologies that businesses across the world are utilising, and how it is that those technologies are implemented” Firat stated, firmly asserting himself with a straight back approach to the first question. 

“I ultimately wanted to discover the depths of our technical services as I’ve always had a passion for new and innovative technology.” He continued, “ATAMA combines a high-level service wrap which starts with the network up to managed services and our truly private cloud”. 

It is clear that Firat has a long-term outline of his role and what it means to customers.  When probed further about his commitment to offering better ISP for business he stated his intentions clearly “Our ultimate ambition as a Tier 2 ISP is to give everyone the business “Ground to the Cloud” experience. We own our network meaning we can utilise four of our data centres to help connect businesses to our tail providers across the UK with guaranteed SLA’s” 

Such passion can only be achieved with the support of the team around you, something that Firat was keen to point out, “Our team consists of network engineers led by Phil Mack who has a demonstrated skill in building new infrastructure and transforming legacy networks to the cutting-edge cloud, hosted, and hybrid solutions”. He stated, glimpsing at the broader team around him in the office.   

As a leader in business development and with a keen message to improve the service level commitment to customers and clients, Firat has a crucial piece of advice for any business thinking about ISP renewal, “The advice I would give to SME businesses in the UK who are up for renewal is to really think about what you’re using the internet for and what that could look like in the next five years”. 

He continued, “Technology is changing, and it’s changing faster than ever so it’s the right time to start thinking about how powerful the right connection will have on the productivity of your staff.”
